The Pitcher and the Painter is about fighting the good fight and getting it right. It's about finding ones place on lifes roster. Dealing with the cards that are dealt and eventually finding peace. Although their career paths seemed completely different to most observers, their journeys had more to do with finding self and accepting who they were than the canvas that would be their playing field. After a 40 year ride filled with success and failure they are reunited at the bedside of the painter who is dying of aids but has found calm and serenity, as opposed to the pitcher who is living a dark life of drug and alcohol abuse.
